When we left the states I promised some little people that I would bring them back something Paddington. Right off the plane and the wonderful Heathrow Express we stumbled into the station trying to find the underground that would take us to our hotel when I saw this stand.

Happy memories of mom reading Paddington Bear stories to me as a child, I knew that this would be an important stop on my travels. They have the usual trinkets and mementos you would expect - stuffed bears, keychains, t-shirts and even a coffee mug. No jars of marmalade though.

Where's the best place to find Paddington Bear? Why, in the station that bears his name of course.
Sadly, although the most famous visitor from darkest Peru no longer resides permanently at the station, this stall sells all manner of related merchandise. So go and have your picture taken with the bronze statue of Paddington and come back here to pick up a souvenir.

Lovely shop and friendly worker. A lot of Paddington Bear merchandise for all budgets. I bought a small Paddington Bear inside a suitcase, couple buttons, and five pins where all the money went to Action Medical Research (you pay for those separately). I remember watching Paddington Bear in Los Angeles on Romper Room. So had to stop here while I was in London for the Olympics.more
