Itchy review of Royal Air Force Museum

It's a nice thought that you'll come here and be whisked off your feet by a dashing pilot, but in reality, you'll be wandering around a hangar looking at a bunch of planes. Strictly a 'with the family' outing, unless looking at planes really winds you up into an excitable frenzy. Hey, whatver floats your boat. A restaurant and cafe should prove useful if by some freak coincidence you do meet your RAF dreamboat, and a flight simulator will make sure you younger brother is throughly occupied when you do.
Lonely Planet review of Royal Air Force Museum

For all things aeronautical, plane spotters should hurry out to the 'birthplace of British Aviation'. You can trace the history of human flight with the help of more than 70 aircraft, photo exhibitions, flight simulators and a spectacular sound and light show called 'Our Finest Hour' which focuses on the Battle of Britain.
