Let me say firstly, I loved the show but for me the whole experience was a painful one. So painful in fact I found it hard to get down the stairs afterwards.

The seats are simply far too small, my knees were constantly pressed against the seat in front and any movement was impossible. It was also stuffy and hot, despite it being about 5 degrees outside.

That would be my only criticism, the rest of the show was great, loved the singing, the co-ordination of the boys, all the charcters were great the storyline is followable but there was a massive jump in the timeline pre and post the interval. There was also a rather unecessary crude section in the bar scene when Nancy was singing.

My wife and I saw the Oliver evening performance on 01/10/09. Somehow 'wifey' had managed to acquire tickets for the front row via the internet, which added to a wonderful experience. I am not one for the theatre (rather be at a footie match) but agreed to keep my wife company at Oliver. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole performance and time just flew by. Omid Djalili was brilliant as Fagin, the cheeky young chappie who played the Artful Dodger full of energy. 10/10 for their performances. The backdrops scenery and props were outstanding. As far as theatre goes, this is a must see !

Yeah, aspects of it are lovely but overall, its disapointing and doesnt live up to all the hype. It felt like a series of musicial numbers strung together without much regard for the plot which at times got lost completely (the enormous Interval jump from 'Oliver being chased by the police' to 'Oliver os a safe Upper Class house' is only explained by one remark from Dodger and that got gabbled etc etc). There is too much emphasis on the music and the scenery and not much acting going on. The two lead children (Dodger & Oliver) can sing but dont have the charisma to carry the show. The same can be said for those playing The Beadle and Bill Sykes - it needs someone with presence to play those roles and the 2nd string cast simply DONT have it. Def. NOT worth the ticket price of £60 a pop.

Had a lot of fun enjoying Oliver! The Musical here. Had great 7th row seats in the stalls. Great view of the entire stage. Counter staff were friendly and very approachable. Easy to find your way around, but the baggage check was a little confusing at first as you have to enter a separate area for ticket holders that we did not have tickets for.

Learned afterwards that this is one of the most haunted theatres in all of London, although we did not see any ghosts or aparitions throughout the night!
