HMS Belfast

De la salle des opérations à la salle des machines, le HMS Belfast, qui fait partie de l'Imperial War Museum, vous offre une occasion unique d'explorer un vaisseau de guerre de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale. Il fut utilisé pour le Débarquement de Normandie pendant la Deuxième Guerre mondiale et est maintenant amarré sur la Tamise près de London Bridge.

Le HMS Belfast est un ancien bateau de la Navy, que l'on peut visiter en grande partie.

C'est assez amusant de descendre dans les entrailles d'un bateau de guerre après s'etre baladé sur le pont et de là, regardé Londres de la Tamise.

On apprend des choses, dans ce lieu oû règne une ambiance particulière.

Attention, le passage pour se rendre dans la salle des machines nottament est abrupte et étroit.

Of course, if you decide to vist it, you know you are going to visit a nave ship. So, if you're not interested, don't go. However, if you are really interested, there is alot to see.

A lot of the ship is open to public, and the items of display depict in detail how life on the ship was during its glory days during (around) World War II.

Furthermore, it is in the centre of the Tower of LOndon/London Bridge area. SO, many tourist would find themselves in the area, and could easily be added on a day's programme.

A couple of minutes distant from LOndon Bridge tube station.

Great Experience

Although I'm not a Navy veteran I still found the HMS Belfast to be a fascinating experience during my last visit to London. The exhibit relating to The Great War was small but very interesting...

Although I'm not a Navy veteran I still found the HMS Belfast to be a fascinating experience during my last visit to London. The exhibit relating to The Great War was small but very interesting. Totally enjoyed viewing the different areas of the ship and seeing how the personnel lived in peace and war. Visiting the HMS Belfast should be on everyones list of things to see in London!

If you like Naval History take a tour

Well worth the time if naval history is of any interest to you. You get to tour a large portion of the ship. Nice materials to explain things. Gives you a good idea of life on board HMS circa WWII.

great fun

We came up for a special event at The London Bridge Experience but had some time to kill and we decided to visit the Belfast, I've not been onboard her for a long time. The ship is really interested...

We came up for a special event at The London Bridge Experience but had some time to kill and we decided to visit the Belfast, I've not been onboard her for a long time. The ship is really interested and good fun. My kids loved the opportunity to elore such a large and amazing ship.

I really recommend a visit with the family good fun.
