Browse the wooden chalets at Southbank Centre's lovely Winter Market – which are spaced out this year to allow social distancing – before taking in the beauty of the Winter Light outdoor exhibition decorating the South Bank with twinkle and animations.

Seven Dials Christmas lights

Each year, you can head to Seven Dials’ pretty cobbled streets for its annual Christmas lights display. Full of hidden gems, quirky boutiques and eclectic eateries, the neighbourhood's 2019 installation had a Starry Night theme. You could marvel at more than 650 giant stars, which gave an extra twinkle whenever a charity donation was made by the simple tap of a card. TBC

Shard Lights

Watch the London skyline light up as The Shard puts on its annual Christmas lights show. Last year, the Shard Lights display was designed by local schoolchildren, reflecting changing colours into wintry skies during the 30-minute light displays.
