Reasonable though not inspiring. We both had the "fish finger sandwich" lunch special, which was proper breaded fish, not the mechanically separated kind. It came on a bun with lettuce and tomato and rather badly needed something... they brought me vinegar when I asked.
The side dishes were also meh. The salad was a few days past it's use by date - you know when the lettuce starts to go... more
Another day another lunch date..it's been one of those months. I picked Loch Fyne as I hadn't been there since they did it up and it offers fish as well as meat dishes, light as well as full meals...I don't usually like an encyclopaedia of dishes on offer but Loch Fyne seem to be able to offer a variety without making it daunting to pick a dish.

Whilst it's a chain this branch is in a quiet hide out in leaden hall market. The ambience is nice and relaxed with some good choices of fish on the menu. I went for the 3course menu for £18 which is dead cheap in central London. The special of the day was mussels so I chose that with a pescatori soup to start with. This place has insanely fresh seafood in a cool ambiance with great decor. My mom and I shared the hot/cold seafood platter with lobster. I have never eaten so much fresh seafood in one sitting. Will definitely be coming back. more
I took my (rather fussy) grandparents to dinner at Loch Fyne, having never eaten there before myself, and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was quiet on a weekday evening, although that didn't bother us.
