My wife and I have a tradition where we go to the Punjab before going to see a West End show. We get here at 6, and we leave with plenty of time to get to the theatre before curtain up.
The food is always great, and the staff are extremely welcoming. It's no wonder this in the the UK's oldest North Indian restaurant. more
Walked over to Punjab absolutely starving after trying to check out another restaurant in the area and I'm so glad we did. Walked in and we were warmly greeted by the team at the door and also saw there was a great variation of ethnicities as far as diners which is a good indication that this was going to be a great experience.

For an Indian and especially Punjabi, this is definitely a historic place. First Indian restaurant in London. Authentic old era building feeling and beautiful neighborhood. In SOHO close to oxford st, and many other London attractions

Had the itch for some Indian food, after searching for a few in the London area, I found this. I made my way from the hotel which was a quick 10 minutes via Uber, arrived and was quickly seated.

Located in beautiful Covent Garden (aka the theatre district of London), Punjab remains true to its authenticity. Open since 1945, It's apparently the oldest North Indian restaurant in London.
