Royal Teas is a cosy and intimate vegetarian café and coffee shop set in one of Greenwich's prettiest streets.

The environment is intimate and friendly, with the venue divided into two rooms. Food is all homemade and freshly prepared. Everything is vegetarian, ranging from super soups to amazing American style breakfasts. And the homemade cakes are a real treat.

This is the best tea show in the world, it truely is the definition of small but perfectly formed! Tucked away from the main drag of Greenwich it is frequented almost entirely by locals reading papers and eating gorgeous homemade cakes from a selection so broad that it often leaves me flumuxed when trying to decide! Royal Teas is Greenwich's own little corner of calm. I ran into this lovely little cafe during a storm, seeking warmth, shelter and coffee and was duly rewarded. The staff were helpful and friendly, and served me up a huge pot of Javanese coffee and a slice of cake for under a fiver. This place is teeny tiny, which I read before going there but was still shocked. I forgot there was a festival going on in Greenwich the day I decided to go in, and this place was obviously full to capacity because filling it takes less than 20 people! I waited patiently out the front though and since I was one lone person, eventually shared my table of 4 with a couple and one other singleton... more

When my parents came to visit, we did a lot of sightseeing and walking around in different parts of the city and ended up also in Greenwich. As much as I like Greenwich, I just never know where to go as everything is rather touristy. Thank god we found this lovely place... more
