Sagar’s menu draws inspiration from the culinary tradition in Udupi, a small town near Bangalore, and brings many unique dishes to London’s vegetarian restaurant scene. The atmosphere and service are often mentioned as high points in reviews; the interiors abound with blond wood, brightened by fairy lights and art pieces, while the staff are renowned for their attentiveness and kind advice, offered to those less knowledgeable about South Indian food. Try the suki bhaji, a regular favourite, or ask your server for a veggie recommendation.

This place is overly priced for South Indian food! I can't believe we spent over $100 for dosas, idlis and thali. The food was NOT extraordinary and service was horrible. They need to reduce their prices and improve the service. more
Great South Indian food. It's all vegetarian and everything we had was delicious. The kurma was fragrant and creamy, the saag paneer was rich. I had the Sagar special dosa - it was an incredible South Indian pancake filled with delicious vegetable curry. Overall, a nice change from the sometimes heavy and fatty curries common in the city.
The service was great. They were nice enough to put a... more
