I'm not sure why somewhere as busy and lovely as the Southbank struggles in the restaurant department. It is mostly a series of chain restaurants punctuated by restaurants which aren't taking the best advantage of the river location (Oxo Tower), or those which serve plain awful food (Skylon, but that's a chain too). The menu itself was very generic however there was enough to cater to the party. We were served promptly and our hostess was able to substitute any sides/extras we required with our meals. I myself had chicken in mushroom sauce with broccoli... more
