The Architecture Foundation presents a new series of expert-led central London tours for everyone, collectively called ‘The Tale of Three Cities’.
The 2-hour guided events – Architecture of Power, Architecture of Life and Architecture of Money – explore the unique stories behind the buildings and architects which shaped Westminster, the Southbank and the City of London.
Guides include local architects, architectural students, academics, dedicated urbanists, a former politician, and other life-long Londoners – offering a unique perspective on the city’s world-famous skyline.
Participants will see London’s modern and historic landmarks through their eyes and trade their thoughts on the city’s many aesthetic debates and visual controversies.
They will discover the bizarre story behind the Shard’s multi-million pound unsold flats, follow the backstreet footsteps trodden by prime ministers on their walk to work, and peer beyond Buckingham Palace’s thin façade.
