The service was great. The ambiance was great. The food was great. The bar was impressive, even though I don't drink.
Please note when ordering a "traditional" dish the meat is likely to be very minimally seasoned and should not be expected to be as salty or spiced as other similar modern dishes.

I went to make use of their opening offer of 50% off food and drink and was totally wow'ed. The entrance doesn't look like anything special, but once you walk in and down the stairs to the basement restaurant, I was blown away. Service is faultless, as is the food. Even the owner made his presence and took the time to check that each table was having a good time and enjoying the food.
Decorative lights, cushioned chairs, spacious tables, brass wash basin and hand towels are the little things that seemed fuddy-duddy, but come together collectively and ooze elegance. It is expensive and the price is reflected in the menu.

This is a mid to top end restaurant, probably much closer to top end. It succeeds in having a rich and opulent feel that attracts people who want and feel comfortable with that kind of place.
The decor fits in with it's Uzbekistan theme, but also has design that makes it current and with creativity which means it is interesting and not just generic.
