So, I went to Brixton as I had a gig at the O2 Academy. As expected, the Nandos across the road was packed to the brim with a long waiting time. I guess I originally opted for Nandos as I am unfamiliar with the area and Nandos is simplistic and pretty much samey wherever you go to one.

One for the carnivores out there... This place is a fun and colourful restaurant bringing a Brazilian vibe with a mix of colours, textures and fun cocktails.
There is a 2 for 1 deal on selected cocktails before 7 which is why we initially went there but after taking a look at the menu I wanted to stay and try the food. I got the steak with chips and beans and my boyfriend went for the lamb.... more
Big shout to the staff for being so friendly and letting us coming in for a cocktail when the kitchen was closed. They were due to close a little while after we arrived, but found the time to served us an interesting caramel cheesecake and a cocktail each! BOOOOOOM!
The cheesecake is hard to describe, if you ever try it, you'll know what I mean. It's not bitter, or very creamy, it's nutty... more
We were trying to find a restaurant before a gig at Brixton Academy and managed to find Cabana. Service was friendly and prompt. Tables were mostly booked but we managed to get a table at 6:00pm without a reservation.
We ordered the spicy and lemon chicken which came with a few sides. We also ordered pudding which we felt was a bit small for the prices given.

What better cure for jetlag is there than sitting round a table with some of your fave gals, having a catchup over tasty food and cocktails? None, I'd say.
