This popular Camden pub owes its name to a Victorian colonel who was an enthusiastic patron during his life. Nowadays, the pub offers an extensive menu, outside seating and a gin list that features more than 60 varieties of Colonel Fawcett’s favourite drink. There is also a selection of craft beers on draught. The food is all high end pub fare, and the Sunday roasts are award winning.

It is well worth the trek to Camden for Colonel Fawcett's Sunday roast. And if you come, stay for some pudding. The roast is served from 12-8 and there were few other diners when we arrived at 1 but many others by the time we left, closer to 3. I'd say if you plan to get there after 2:30, try to make a booking.

I give 5 stars for the concept of the celebration of Colonel Fawcett day combined with National Gin Day (or was it Global Gin Day?) in this great local place in Camden.
I think I also give them five stars for:
An amazing list of available gins
A great burger
Two terraces (one at the street side and one rustic at the back)
The gin tasting was super, and not only... more
Top Gin Menu plus plenty of craft beer available
Really enjoyed socialising here, although not local, I know I'll definitely be shortlisting this place for when I'm next back in town. Keep doing what you're doing! It's awesome! more
Quirky, great selection of gins and beers, and reasonably friendly staff who put up with my lack of familiarity with local brews but didn't offer much guidance. Dessert was very slow and while the ginger cake was fine the pairing with marmalade and white chocolate ice cream sounded better than it tasted. more
