Nambucca has long showcased new talent and helped nurture burgeoning scenes. Once an indie music spot, it offered a platform to bands including Florence & The Machine, Maximo Park and The Holloways. It later shifted into the nu-folk world, giving regular spots to Frank Turner, Marcus Mumford, Laura Marling and others. After a massive refurbishment and change of owners, it reopened in 2014 as a 300-capacity venue, with new murals of music icons and the stage relocated to the back of the room. But music is still very much at the forefront - and more recent performers include Wolf Alice, Wretch 32, The Wombats and Clarence Clarity.
