Top 5 reviews of The North Star
A solid four star pub, conveniently placed for train departures from Ealing Broadway. There's a good atmosphere in here, busy with locals and passers-through. A decent range of beers and ales, with a couple of ciders on tap to boot. A cosy, partially sheltered outdoor area adds to the vibe. more
This is our not as local, local.
We live about 30 seconds away from another pub, so that *techincally* is our local. But they play a lot of sports, the beer selection isn't that good and we just go there because it's.. well 30 seconds away from the house. heh!
The North Star on the other hand is a place that we go to when we have people 'round, or we fancy going somewhere that is more... more
Not sure if there is any personnel here to take orders. Left after ten minutes. It smells too much of dried up beer to really offer a good dining experience. Even for a pub. I imagine it's a good place for a drink and a laugh. more
A nice little pub with reasonable prices, yummy cocktails and decent American-style food. With £5 cocktails 5-7pm and 2 for 1 burgers on Tuesdays, it makes a cheap midweek night out. Peanut butter on a hamburger though? Hmmmm...not convinced. The fried chicken was alright, but not £7 nicer than KFC, despite being £7 more expensive. more
This is a nice pub but I was a bit shocked by the price of 4.15 a pint. That's the most I've payed in a regular London pub. The beer, Rivet Catcher, was very good though so I guess it was worth it.
There are a few screens about but they don't interfere too much with the pleasant feel of the place. more
