About

Sip on top-quality coffee and munch on light bites as cats mingle around the tables at east London hangout This is a Coffee Shop.

Previously known as London Cat Village, this ethical cat cafe lets the cats do their own thing with a strictly “no touch” policy – where customers can only touch the resident cats if the felines come straight up to them – making for a relaxing place for all.

Dishes here include the likes of Avo Smash – smashed avocado with crème fraiche and Dukkah spices atop rye and wholegrain bream; and a Toastie Stack filled with melted goats cheese, serrano ham and red onion marmalade.

My biggest complaint was that only half the menu was available! No... more

The entry fee is 5 pounds and you have to order at least one drink out food. Nice calm ambience and lovely cats. A little sad that you can only stay for one hour :( more

When planning our trip to London, our daughter had one request - visit the Cat Village cafe, which she had heard about from friends. My husband and I made sure to make reservations a month prior to our trip, but unfortunately, upon arrival, we were not allowed in. Apparently, children 12 and under are not permitted. It would have been nice to know this when making the reservation. They swore... more

You book in advance, an hour long slot, which costs £5.

When we went, which was last autumn, it did;t tell you online beforehand, that if you didn't wear socks, you'd have to share cheap, pink, public, between the toe flip flop slippers, that aren't washed between uses (the pair I was handed were slightly grey with dirt, ew, I'm not a foot fan at the best of times...), we got there 5 minutes... more
