Wow, this place was packed on a Friday night. The whole bar area and upstairs restaurant were packed. I suggest booking a table and wish we had. Since no tables were to be found we asked another couple if we could share a four top with them in the bar, they kindly obliged. They bar staff are quick, efficient and friendly. In the states you don't go up to a bar to order food, so I felt awkward... more
This was a typical English pub near Earl's Court. The pub had two stories; the inside was spacious and the ambiance was cozy. There were quite some locals in the pub on a weekday night.
The pub was owned by Fuller's, and had its London Pride and a couple of Golden Ale on tap, and the Vintage Ale in bottles. The food was an okay comparing to other pubs in London. more
Probably a generous rating but I will round up. Two story pub. Typically small draft menu but the Beavertown IPA was quite tasty and relatively low ABV. Service was prompt and efficient. Kingshead has a good selection of draught and draft. Particularly impressed with the bright lemony IPA Little Victories.
Daughter got a chicken sandwich, sheppards pie for myself.
Impressed with the quality of food, not some frozen patty but breaded moist... more
