We were worried it was going to be a tourist trap, BUT OHHH WERE WE WRONG! Great Fuller beer on tap, pies and fish and chips were phenomenal!!! I expected a good sized piece of fish...I got the whole haddock fillet!! The beer batter was perfectly crisp and not at all doughy with perfectly cooked fish beneath. You have to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding! more
Ok. Came here to have "traditional English pie" and an ale.
Has the steak and London pride and it was excellent. And I was ready to be disappointed but it was delicious. Had an ale with it.
Unfortunately they were out of the pudding we wanted to try so we skipped dessert. Still worth a stop if you are in the area. We had just finished a tour of the London Tower. more

High marks for the Steak and Ale pie. The mixed veg was also good, though not fancy.
Like many Pubs in this part of town, it's very busy.
All told, a tasty 5 Stars! more

The steak pie was wonderful. more

The pie sampler consisted of a duck and cranberry pie, a root vegetable... more
