What can I say? This was a fantastic find! We had been out the night before and we nursing a pretty serious hangover and were in need of a decent brunch.

This was my first tasting menu in a long long time. Like more than a decade. And the cool thing is that I tried a bunch of things I'd not normally try thinking I'd hate them, and they were great. Bad thing is the other stuff was not so great. In short I'd have done much better picking at random than picking the things I'd thought I'd like. So recommendations.... It was the Sunday after the night before and brunch was calling. Resident looked too busy so we decided to give this place a go. I've never noticed it before but I've been missing out.

Tucked behind a petrol station, paradise garage offers nice new british cuisine in a nice atmosphere.
We took the tasting menu and although the dishes were good, 2 weeks later I have no recollection of what I ate.
That's what happens with restaurants that try a bit too much. They combine a lot of different ingredients but you lose the simplicity of the meal and it's a bit disappointing. The... more
