Bermondsey carnival and funfair festival apparently happen every year and is one of the biggest festival Southwark does.
Big headline act with support from local bands and musicians great art, craft, drink and food stalls, and a variety of activities for all ages. Very well organised and good security.

Open green spaces are great. This is one of them. Southwark Park is a pretty good palce to chill when the sun decides to show it's face in London. There is enough grass for you to find a space to make your own, and quite a lot of shade for those of us with pastey skin :-(. Also, there is a cafe, a pretty decent play area for kids and (randomly) an art gallery. more
