I do not think I would go back to this place and I certainly would never eat there again.
I might be doing the pub an injustice, as it does real ale and has the Cask Marque approval of quality. However I foudn the place unbearable.

It's a pub which has good food and a decent drink selection. It has couches. But, most importantly, it's super dog-friendly. Pooches everywhere! A big champagne cooler full of treats for the taking! PUPPIES!!
As someone who loves fluffy creatures, but isn't allowed pets in her flat, that tipped The Hope into solid 4 Star territory. more
I go to the hope a lot after a long walk on the common with my dog, they treat everyone kindly including the dogs and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere to the place.
There is an outside area but it is right next to a busy main road! Very close to wandsworth common train station which is a few minutes away from clapham junction more
Busy pub but not that great.
Outdoor seating is on the intersection of two busy roads, so noisy and dusty. It's not in the common as its across the road.
Limited non alcoholic drinks. Only soft drinks and Firefly.
Crab and avocado on toast was so-so. The avocado slices were unripe, they should have used another. more
My family and I suffered through the Christmas Day dinner here. It was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had and such a disappointing way to spend what is meant to be a fun and festive occasion.
