Upon entering the dining room, we asked for a table for two and the waiter dashed off, ignoring us. Another waiter came over and we asked again for a table for two. We were seated after a look of utter contempt from the waiter.

It turns out that I have been to this pub before, which is a little surprising since this is only my third time in London and I thought I knew all of the pubs that I have previously visited. I came in to the Argyll Arms a few weeks back as part of a first date, and as pubs go, this one was certainly pubbish.
