The fabulous taste of Ethiopian coffee owes everything to the perfect environment in which it grows. Using only the indigenous heirloom Arabica varieties, grown at high altitudes with ample rainfall, a near perfect climate, good fertility and natural planting conditions these are the contributing factors, which make Ethiopian coffees so great.
Within our small organisation we have a dedicated Ethiopian and British team who are knowledgeable and have a direct line of access to the finest Ethiopian coffees available today. We resource and buy only top quality Arabica beans, which we roast by hand in small individual batches for optimum flavour and grind only to order.

Top 5 reviews of Ground Control
Ground Coffee is the coffee shop outlet of the Real Ethiopian Coffee Co. Unsurprisingly it is therefore their Ethiopian coffee on offer and it is very good indeed. I enjoyed a well made double Macchiato and my companion was equally pleased with her Latte. In addition to coffee a small selection of cakes were available. I enjoyed a Chelsea bun which had just the right level of stickiness -... more
Ground Control -- get it, get it? Yeah, it's punny, but the coffee is legit.
This is not a late night spot, but if you are lucky enough to have a few spare hours during the day, you are in for a treat. As I live beside the place, I've been a lot.
First, the coffee is spot on. I've chatted with the owner, and he clearly knows what he's doing. Their freshly roasted beans are what goes into my French press.
Second, the help. Sometimes, the help hired doesn't match the bean quality, and the drink suffers. Once, they ground my beans as espresso grind instead of coarse, a mistake I very soon... more
Solid coffee. Can't speak for the food but the cakes look good (even if the selection is small).
I've also heard from colleagues that the sandwiches are great.
The coffee shop itself is teeny tiny but very cosy with two outdoor tables for sunny days.
Update: I've now had their brownie and can highly recommend!! Fudgy goodness more
