I went to The Clarence Pub a few times during my stay in London. The food and atmosphere is amazing there and the Mac and cheese is to die for!! I had it every time! I also had the fish and chips with a lager and it was the best I have had. My friend had the steak pie and loved it. The salted caramel profiteroles where amazing! The service was great and Piotr took great care of us! Wish this... more

For being a chain and in central London, I had low expectations, but I though this was a great pub and a nice place to have a traditional British meal. The service was really friendly and attentive, and the food was great. The burgers are massive and absolutely delicious, and the traditional savory pies are excellent. Asked the concierge at our hotel a close by pub to grab a bite and he recommend The Clarence. Even though it was busy they did get us a table and we enjoyed a cask ale. As it was busy service, although friendly, was slow. We ordered a sharing platter which included a Scotch Egg, some chips, some chicken and some sausage and then also a beef pie to share. The food was just average. more

This placed opened an hour earlier than other nearby pubs on a Sunday. We stopped by for fish and chips. It did not disappoint. Although it was on the pricy side for fish and chips the fish was tender and had a crispy batter. It came with delicious fries and mashed peas. Overall great vibe and good food, would happily return. more

I ate here TWICE on a trip recently... good atmosphere & good drinks/food... I am from the US & wanted some local food to try, I had the fish & chips & the English mustard slow braised beef, both were delicious but the beef was beyond expectation! I would recommend that & a pint of your favorite pint! Service was friendly & prompt- not a long food wait either- worth a visit! more
