At 9pm on a Wednesday evening you would expect a bit of a buzz but the place was dead! The staff however were friendly and quickly poured our drinks and sat us at a table. Inside the décor is nice enough, they do have a small outside space which would be nice on a sunny evening. Babble is quite male dominated. After being here a few times I always find myself outnumbered by lots of men. The women who come here are the type who love themselves.
There are three floors to choose from and a tiny outside terrace. The top floor has a small balcony also. I preferred the top floor as it's more chilled out up there and the music isn't too loud.

I had been to the previous incarnation of Babble City on a few nights out but returned recently to have lunch. The lunch time set up is quite good for a quiet meal and the prices on the menu are reasonable so that something like steak frites is less than £10. In the evening it reverts to its identity as a city bar with suits and Essex birds chasing the suits. more
Had work Christmas party organised here. We got there and they had not organised an area for us, we had to wait half an hour for them to kick people off tables. Took an hour to get wrist bands for the bar tab. Took 45 minutes to get prosecco that was ordered in advance to be ready as a greeting for guests on arrival.
