Established in 1967, Taberna Etrusca is an Italian restaurant in the classic trattoria style, with textured white walls, tiled floors and an open-beamed ceiling. Decorative Tuscany-style tiles and Ferrari posters decorate the walls. A range of antipasti and pasta dishes are served, each with the very best authentic Mediterranean flavours. A short passage by the side of the restaurant leads to a courtyard to the rear which catches the sun during the summer and is very popular for al fresco dining.

My colleagues and I went back, and I must say that Taberna Etrusca has won me over this time.
We got set menu 2, of which I chose the raviolis for starter, scallops for main and lemon ice cream for dessert. It can take a little effort to find, as it's a little tucked away amongst city pubs and coffee places however worth it.

Ah, my old friend Taberna Etrusca, a traditional Italian in the heart of the City that's been popular for ages, partly for its slightly old fashioned approach (crisp but faded linen tablecloths, enthusiastic maitre d' and a dessert trolley).
