Went to the new St.James branch after passing the original Great Portland Street branch after many years. The restaurant is a great business restaurant for lunch and meetings. Look forward to visiting again and doing a full review for our YouTube Channel. We had the following items:

1. Spiced Squid

2. Confit De Canard

3. Chicken and Chorizo Baguette

4. Fillet Steak with peppercorn sauce

My fiancé got the Smoked haddock and wester Ross salmon fish cake. It just tasted like a bunch of fish mixed together. It was not very appetizing.

Our drinks were good and... more

I'm stunned by the 4 and 5 star reviews. Stunned.

We went to the cafe today for afternoon tea and it was terrible. The service was astoundingly bad. We were blatantly ignored and when we were able to get a servers attention we were simply nodded at but no one would come over. We couldn't get refills on tea nor additional sandwiches etc. We literally gave up and ended up going across the... more
