Basic pub (in a convenient location) with extra history!
The dinner crowd fills the place up, so get here before the working class gets off work! Standard beef and fish dishes, with basic sides like potatoes and corn. Carnivorous men (like me) eat here.

Solid three stars for the fish and chips + local beers. Cozy spot. Prompt service. That's really it. I'd come again. But I wouldn't bust down doors to get here if I was only in London for a few hours. more
Met Gorgeous George the barkeep, chatted w/ a Canadian and a Lithuanian, had an Amber Ale, spending the time before going to the play and enjoying this lovely place that is smelly good music loud great location central piccadilly theatrr housew surrounding send in lots of lads and ladies local people too so fun so good excited to see the show! We were seated at a small table under a window on the second floor. It was charming and, though crowded, not unduly noisy. My coronation chicken pie was delicious and substantial. Cider was cold and fresh. It was a lovely evening and I will return next time I'm in London. more
My wife & I stayed in an apartment two doors down from this pub. Every night after spending the day roaming around London we would stop in for a drink. We didn't eat there but we really liked spending time here every night. more
