Ok, so I love a good independent cinema. And this is a good one.
The theaters may be small but they're filled with wonderful character. Seats are comfy (and they recline! What! Thanks for that tip Yelp), lots of leg room, friendly staff, just nice. And it's always clean. Love it.

This is definitely a five star venue.
I've recently discovered it coming to see Opera screened live from the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and the Met in New York. Both were great experiences: not quite the live experience, of course, but you get a fascinating behind the scenes commentary, great views, and it is very comfortable, not to mention a fraction of the cost. Excellent seats, good selection of ice cream. Overall the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, definitely one of the best cinemas in London. more
What can I say? I love Picturehouse cinemas, and I really like discovering how one differs from the next. Hackney PH is my usual cinema, but one day I decided to visit both Greenwich Market AND the cinema, so the fact that there's a PH in Greenwich set the day's plan in stone.

It's so expensive these days to go to the cinema, so if you're going to do it I suggest you do it in style... and this is where the Picture house Greenwich comes into its own.
No bad quality popcorn and screaming brat children here!
Downstairs they have a lovely little eatery where you can order a yummy Spanish Jamon meat board - enjoyed with a lovely glass of wine pre-screening.
