Enjoy dishes spanning India’s patchwork of regional cuisines at this south-east London restaurant.

Choose from a large selection of regional Indian dishes that have been given a contemporary twist, at this Forest Hill stalwart.

Having been open since 1985, Babur continues to change with the times, incorporating modern techniques alongside traditional recipes. Enjoy the likes of clove-smoked lamb chops, beetroot cutlets with papaya chutney, or rabbit soweta featuring sweetcorn and Rajasthani spices.

Make sure to also try one of the original cocktails, some of which use home-made spirits, syrups and bitters. Options include the Mumbai negroni including homemade Indian-spiced vermouth with gin, Campari, pink clove bitters and orange peel; or the refreshing ginger and watermelon vodka martini.
