Top 5 reviews of Villagio
I'm not an Italian fan. If there is ANY other cuisine out there, I'll generally choose it over Italian (except Ethiopian, after a recent food poisoning incident!). However, this place is smack in the middle between my office and my friend's office in Baron's Court, so the convenience is perfect. I've gone back and forth between 3 and 4 stars for this one... Villagio is going to be hit or miss. All the time.
We were going to go to Japanese down the street after an event but found it closed at 11pm. Hungry, we stopped into the first place we found that was open, which was here.

This is a cute little British-Italian cafe. Our food came quickly and was surprisingly very nice. The only complaint I have is the service. I ordered their version of shrimp scampi (Linguini with Prawns). It was different than New England (U.S.) variation, but absolutely delicious! A little spicy (red pepper flakes?), garlicky, good portion size. My bf ordered spaghetti carbonara and thought it was very good. We also ordered the tiramisu for dessert. My favorite meal during my 3 days in London, and we had a lot of great food! more

To put it succinctly, the food was tasteless and greasy (i.e. it had no parmesan cheese in it) or anything good for that matter. Although they could have quickly solved this issue... more
