I had a feeling this place would be busy as it's so close to Clapham junction, so i phoned early afternoon to book a table, the lady on the phone, laughed and said, no no you don't need to book, we always have space, Then hurried me off the phone...So i turned up that evening and was told by a waiter, no, no space tonight, we're fully booked.

A firm favorite among me and friends for many years now, pizza express always delivers. The food is always good, as the wine and would highly recommend the cheesecake for desert! This branch however can get very crowded and is very noisy when busy - you can sometimes find yourself, if not lucky, sat in the middle of the through path for all the staff and the customers gonig to the toilet! It's Pizza Express- what can you say? The quality of comestibles is exactly the same as every other one. The differentiator for this specific outlet is the service. It's abysmal. I know it's busy. I know at busy times, it can be difficult to get people sat down etc. But what's the excuse for keeping people waiting at the door while there are empty tables?
