With a combination of delicious food, great wines and a real ambience, Café Rouge has embodied the style and je ne sais quoi of French dining since it opened way back in 1989.Now with over 90 sites across the country it's just the place to mull over the morning papers with a cafe au lait and a croissant, pop in for a spot of lunch, share a post-work drink or relax over an evening meal. The menu covers a range of French classics from croques and baguettes, ideal for a quick and easy snack, to more substantial fare such as steak frites and boeuf bourguignon. Likewise, the wines are predominately French; many made by lesser known producers, and provide the perfect accompaniment to the food on offer. No hassle, no rush, no skinny- decaff-double-shot-to-go, just a vibrant atmosphere that moves with your moods throughout the day.

This is a favourite haunt for one of my friends, and her baby shower was hosted here.
They provided the little function area upstairs that's curtained off. The restaurant was full downstairs and there was a large number of us.
Because it was a large group, they told us we all had to have the same thing- half chicken and chips, which was nice, but huge- and a lot of poor chickens- and not... more
Recently came here for their 3 course Christmas meal with some uni friends.
Granted one person was 30 minutes late but after that the service was so so slow with a rude waitress that was just not interested.
Once food came out it was luke warm. The Camembert starter was big with 3 crispy coated Camembert wheels but it came drenched in an overly sweet cranberry sauce. The duck for main was... more
We went here because we had just been to a Cafe rouge in Windsor yesterday and it was amazing. My 7 year old brother who is SUPER picky even ate the pasta here and loved it. But this location was a bit different in comparison as the chicken was a bit drier and the Eron Mess dessert was not as extravagant. But the mocktails were a bigger size for the same price. The food was still really good... more
A French Resturant that runs out of creme brûlée before the dinner rush is done? I mean sure it's my fault for coming to something so commercial, but I really needed to get the taste of the over cooked salmon out of my system, even if the salad dressing was tasty.
Points for knowledgeable staff who didn't fumble the wine list and served up the bill without too much chas more
Prime location and pretty good food for quick lunch.
After running around in drizzly London weather, it's a delight to sit under glass domed roof of the Galleria and enjoy perfectly crisp Croque Saumon, with smoky salmon, melted goodness of nutty Gruyere cheese, and a side of fries.
Quick service, decent prices. more
