Had Bella italia gelato while at the embankment market. Their portion was pretty small, and they really didn't have the normal gelato flavors you would find in Italy. Not bad, but would have liked a larger portion for 2.25£ more
This place, I went here with my class, so I consider as well what my group says. What it has going for it, is the food. Overall, everyone in my class enjoyed their meal - of course I ended up having sea bass. The food was flavorful, it did come out warm, and that's about where it goes wrong.

Italian Applebee's is my best comparison for this place. Our first night in London it was raining so we didn't want to travel far from our hotel nor wonder the streets looking at menus. If you are in a rush before the theatre and want an Italian meal then Bella Italia cannot be beaten. We have been to quite a few of their establishments throughout the country and have never been disappointed.
Always friendly, Italian style, service. Italian style because those guys always have a twinkle in their eyes for the ladies. Once again, we males are left out.
