On vacation and stopped in for lunch. Nice looking small tavern, walked in to find we are the only ones here. Have a good looking food menu and classic looking bar... that's about where the positives stop. Food took about 25min to come out and was only able to eat one chip because they taste like the freezer. One bite of the ham and cheese melt and could not stomach any more. Also... more

Classic English pub, but smaller. Lovely service. Nice selection. The real gem is being able to take your pint to the courtyard out back. Lovely open air space. more

Tiny inside, but with a huge paved space behind the pub for taking drinks and conversation. The staff are a bit less-than-charming, however. Friendly service, disappointing food. I made the mistake of ordering the roasted vegetable wrap. I was expecting roast vegetables like aubergine, peppers, courgettes, etc. Alas it was the veg from the roast meal: carrots, parsnips, and 70% mushy roast potato. In a tortilla wrap. To call it a stodgy mess of starch would be an understatement. more
