Awarded a Michelin star in 2010 for its excellent healthy cuisine and exquisite wines, Texture Restaurant and Champagne Bar is housed in a beautifully restored Georgian building on Portman Square, in the heart of Mayfair and just minutes from Oxford Street.
Believed to be the first restaurant co-founded by an award-winning sommelier and top chef, Texture is the brainchild of Xavier Rousset and Agnar Sverrisson who met while working under Raymond Blanc at La Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons. The muted interior of the restaurant and champagne bar blends contemporary elegance with original features and striking artwork by renowned Icelandic artist, Tolli.
Texture serves modern European cuisine that focuses on combining and emphasising different consistencies.
Elegantly designed, the champagne bar is perfect for pre-dinner aperitifs or for those who want to take advantage of Rousset's extraordinary champagne list, containing close to 100 different champagnes, making Texture one of London's most extensive champagne destinations.

Amazing Food and great service. When we read the Yelp Review it said not a kid friendly place, but it is wrong. It is totally kids' friendly and the staff are really nice to us and the our toddler. more
I must thank Grant T for recommending this place to me. Many months ago I read his Michelin list and asked him to provide me with his top picks for a 1st Anniversary meal. Among his suggestions was Texture. Their example menu appealed to us the most out of those we read and we thought it had a very convenient location just behind Selfridges on Oxford Street.

I had the vegetarian tasting menu which was a bit disappointing in originality in comparison to my fellow diners with the meat course, mainly consisting of grains and veg, it didn't really venture into the realms of veggie protein. It... more
The food is fantastic. We both had the seafood tasting menu since it was a hot day and we didn't want to weigh ourselves down. The lobster and crab dish was outstanding. No complaints on the food. It's really good.
The decor is subtle and tasteful. In an old building but with modern decor, it was a nice visual atmosphere. Being a more modern decor, it did have a lot of hard surfaces which... more
I went here to try the tasting menu. The restaurant is easy to get to and is a short walk from the Marble Arch Underground Station. The food is described to be influenced by Icelandic food and Scandinavian influences. Overall I would rate this 4.5 stars.
My meal started with a really good "bread" service. Nice texture and taste of the chips. They also had bread with two types of olive... more
