I know that a lot of people complain about the prices at Urban Outfitters as do I, and they also state how much cheaper it is in the States but it must also be noted that the UK collections are 10 times better the the US. Excellent mix of funky clothing and unusual, imaginative and creative books, gifts and home-pieces. This is the sort of place you pop into for a couple of minutes and leave 40 minutes later and £100 lighter, but very happy with your purchases. We bought some fantastic gifts that we know will hit the spot we'll be returning for creative Christmas gifts! more

This store is awesome when they have sales, but they are overpriced.

Even though they're all over in L.A., when I was in London they had a couple different things. The employees kinda looked "hipstery," but the cashier was very nice & helpful.

I wish they had more London specific items, like more Marmite themed products.

Before it became a significant chain in the UK, the only Urban Outfitters I knew of was on Neal Street. The layout of the store is well thought out, with menswear and gifts on the ground floor and women's wear upstairs. I always imagine that this is because guys are less willing to search for clothes they like, and would therefore assume it was a women's store unless the men's range was made... more
