Local favourite Geales is an old-fashioned fish and chip restaurant which has been frying up its simple, delicious seafood dishes since 1939. The subdued décor adds a hint of Notting Hill glamour to this otherwise straightforward restaurant, but it's the fish that everyone has come for. Specials come fresh from Devon and Cornwall, and there are plenty of favourites such as dressed crab, salmon and leek fishcakes and oysters straight from the bar.

Great food. Started with clam and mussel popcorn. Then Brixham skate and chips. Nice and light batter on the skate. The ladies had ribeye, which was perfectly done. more

It's what you want out of fish and chips. The new owner has modernized a few things but this is the classic place for fish and chips (get the cod) and mushy peas. You will no be disappointed. Don't forget to save room for dessert! more
Food was very good, loved the local feeling of the restaurant. We ate here on the 3rd night of a week long trip to London and we're staying in the area.
Towards the end of the meal, service was a bit delayed, but extremely friendly and welcoming. more
Came here a few weeks ago while I was in London for work. I wasn't in the mood for fish that night so I ordered the mushroom risotto. It was delicious!!my dining companions each had different fish and really enjoyed their meals, as well. The weather was nice so we were able to dine outside. Staff was very friendly, too. more
