The Horse and Groom in Shoreditch runs a double life. During the day this old East End boozer dispenses pints and pub food to a large crowd of regulars but, come nighttime, the disco ball comes out and the pub becomes a bouncing club spot. The license runs until four in the morning and the DJs that the Horse and Groom attracts are truly impressive. The Horse and
Groom is a clubbing hotspot in an unlikely location and, as a result, is one of the most popular places in London to party.

Well....what a funny little place! I visetd The horse and Groom on BH sunday.
My scene when it comes to music dependant on who's playing of course. But the crowd was very odd and made the evening a little less enjoyable.
The room upstairs was much nicer than the down stairs but was playing a completely different style of music to downstairs.
I had a good night and it was cheap to get in but... more
Stumbled across this place for lunch. Pleasantly surprised. Was pretty quiet, we were the only ones there... Bt the decor was cute and interesting... Rustic with odd stuffed animals. Good service. Menu is basic, we went for burgers and fries. Easy. Fried. Good. more
Quirky little joint with fantastic house music on late - late (if thats your thing) I have been a few times now and the DJ's have been on top form. Can get rather crowded upstairs but thats half the fun sometimes (right?) This haven is all a bit random but head in with an open mind and your dancing shoes (so long as you dont mind getting a bit of beer on them) and you are bound to have a great... more
Great music and party!
The place seems to be a casual random pub from the outside and I did not expect such great music. I have been on a Friday evening for a birthday and the DJ set was outstanding. I totally recommend. The only drawback is it was quite packed so it may be worth going on a Thursday evening to avoid such a crowd.
Entrance was only £5, cash only. more
What a transformation! This used to be the local old mans bar for lunch drinks when I worked in this area many years ago. Now it's kinda cool? What happened to shoreditch. All the hip bars are now dull, and all the dull bars are hip.
The decor has changed a bit. From an old man pub, to a bit more funky. They have a really old record player in the far end of the corner which impressed... more
