I really wanted to like Catch because I love fish and chips and I love posh things. But I'm afraid to say the two don't mix.
On the plus side, Catch has more choice than your average chippy. You can order fresh tuna steak or lemon sole, which also make it healthier than average. On the sides menu they have garlic mushrooms and while I wouldn't normally order mushrooms with chips, it's nice... more
We were here on a famished evening for some quick grub. The man on the counter was very grumpy for some reason and wouldn't talk to us - even though there wasn't a single customer. He just grumpily pointed to the tables.

'The Catch' is simply the BEST place for Fish & Chips in Chiswick.
It has been around for a few years and has easily established itself the superior outlet to the more basic 'Chris's Fish Bar' on Turnham Green Terrace and 2011 newcomer 'The Codfather' (my 2nd Chiswick choice).

Want posh fish and chips ? eat in or takeaway ? - The Catch is the answer but I would suggest not as the norm.
Fish and chips to me means cheap and cheerful, you know what you are getting and it fits the bill at that time. This friendly and classy fish and chip "restaurant" is I think a little bit pricey but I guess you pay for what you get, I suppose and with a magic formula for the batter... more
