About
Catch the highly anticipated My Master Builder, a bold reimagining of Henrik Ibsen's play, showing at Wyndham's Theatre for a strictly limited 12-week run.
Starring Golden Globe winner Ewan McGregor in his 17-year return to the West End stage, this explosive new play by Lila Raicek takes you to the heart of a relationship where love and ambition collide.
What is My Master Builder about?
Step into the affluent Hamptons on the Fourth of July where Elena Solness, a publishing magnate, is throwing a party to celebrate her architect husband Henry Solness’ latest masterpiece. What begins as an evening of celebration quickly spirals into a night of destruction with the arrival of Henry’s former student Mathilde – with whom he previously shared an intimate connection.
With Elena and Henry’s already vulnerable union shattered by the unexpected arrival of Mathilde, the trio must reckon with uncomfortable truths that could change their lives forever.
This surprising and gripping story about sexual politics and love's vulnerabilities combines Ibsen's classic storytelling with contemporary drama. My Master Builder will keep audiences on the edge of their seats as the story unravels.
