After a smashing run at the London Palladium last year, the sensational musical adaptation of the Oscar-winning film returns to London's West End for a strictly limited run.

What is The Wizard of Oz about?

Dorothy and her dog Toto are swept away from their Kansas farm to the colourful land of Oz. As they embark on a magical journey to see the Wizard, they meet three new friends and join forces to overcome obstacles on their quest to reach the Emerald City.

Featuring the iconic score from the Oscar-winning MGM film - including favourites such as Over The Rainbow, Follow The Yellow Brick Road and We’re Off To See The Wizard, with additional songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. 

This fun-filled family show stars JLS sensation Aston Merrygold as The Tin Man and Dancing on Ice star The Vivienne as The Wicked Witch.

What time is the evening performance?

Evening performances are taking place at 7pm, Tuesdays  to Fridays and at 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Is there a matinee performance?

The Wizard of Oz has matinee performances scheduled on Tuesdays to Fridays at 2pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm.

The Wizard of Oz is playing at The Gillian Lynne Theatre, located on Drury Lane, near Covent Garden.

How to get there: 

• Tube - Tottenham Court Road (on the Central, Northern and Elizabeth lines) and Holborn (on the Central Line) are the closest tube stations to the theatre.
• Bus - A few bus lines stop nearby on Drury Lane (stop S): 8, 188, N1, N68, N171 and N242.
• Cycling - Hire a Santander Cycles bike and head to Drury Lane, on Covent Garden, where you will find the nearest Santander docking station.  

What age is the show suitable for?

The Wizard of Oz is recommended for anyone aged six and over. Children under four and babes-in-arms won't be admitted into the theatre.
