What is Tosca about?

Set in Rome in 1800, opera singer Floria Tosca plots to save her captured lover Cavaradossi from the cruel Baron Scarpia, Chief of Police. In a devastating twist, her lover is sentenced by Scarpia to be killed unless Tosca yields to Scarpia’s desires for her, resulting in fateful consequences for all.

In a story full of love, lust and murder, Tosca is bursting with theatricality as it explores how love overcomes all, combining a dramatic story line with Puccini’s romantic score. Featuring impressive performances of “Vissi d’arte”, “E lucevan le stelle” and “Te deum”.
