After popular demand, the ultimate Christmas show is set to take over London's West End stage once more, bringing its unique blend of comedy, music, and festive cheer to the capital.

What is ELF The Musical about?

The actor playing Buddy in ELF the Musical is wearing a flashy green uniform and holding some toys and surrounded by Santa's little helpers all dressed with colourful costumes.

ELF The Musical tells the heart-warming story of Buddy, who crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts as a baby and grows up with Santa’s little helpers. After multiple incidents at Santa’s toy factory, Buddy heads to New York to find his real family, causing some merry mayhem! Along the way, he meets a host of colourful characters and spreads holiday joy wherever he goes. 

The show features some memorable festive tunes such as “Sparklejollytwinklejingley” and “Nobody Cares About Santa". With its catchy tunes, charming characters, and heart-warming story, it's the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and spread some joy and cheer. So, grab your Santa hat, bundle up in your warmest coat, and head to the Dominion Theatre to experience Elf the Musical for yourself.  

Who stars in ELF The Musical?

The cast of Elf The Musical is on stage, all dressed as elves on a stage decorated with giant candy canes.

Matthew Wolfenden returns to the stage of the Dominion Theatre for a second year as Buddy in the smash hit musical adaptation of ELF. He is joined by Tom Chambers as Walter Hobbs, Georgina Castle as Jovie, Rebecca Lock as Emily Hobbs, Nicholas Pound as Santa, Kim Ismay as Debs and Dermot Canavan as the shop manager.

How long is the musical?

ELF The Musical lasts for two hours and 30 minutes, including a 15-minute interval.

What time is the evening show?

Evening performances usually take place at 7.30pm, Mondays to Saturdays

On which days are there matinee performances?

Elf The Musical matinees are on Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30 pm– although times may vary. Make sure to check your ticket in advance.

ELF The Musical is playing at the Dominion Theatre, close to Tottenham Court Road.

  • Underground - the nearest tube station is Totenham Court Road (Northern, Central and Elizabeth lines).
  • Bus - You can catch the following buses which stop nearby at Tottenham Court Road, just a 1-minute walk away from the Dominion Theatre: 98 and 390.

What age is the show suitable for?

Children under four years of age are not permitted into the theatre – the show is recommended for children aged five years and older.
