What is Sister Act about?

The musical, based on the 1992 hit movie of the same name tells the story of the disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, who turns the Covent choir into a singing sensation.

As a murder witness, Deloris is in danger and is forced to go into hiding somewhere she can’t be found – in a convent! Staying in disguise and breaking old habits is hard for Deloris, who as a nun on the run uses the power of her voice to save her soul.

Beverley Knight and Jennifer Saunders stands on the stage wearing glittery nuns costumes while performing on Sister Act.

The show features a star-studded cast, including Beverley Knight from 15 March and Alexandra Burke from 10 June as Deloris Van Cartier. But, of course, the real stars of the show are the nuns themselves. From the stern and traditional Mother Superior to the timid Sister Mary Robert, each character shines in this acclaimed adaptation of the popular movie.

The impressive sets and colourful and flashy costumes are sure to bring back the disco era in full swing. Featuring a soundtrack of uplifting songs inspired by soul and Motown, and a choir of singing nuns, this hilarious musical will be the answer to all your prayers!

One of the nuns starring in Sister Act is lifted in the air holding a rope and looks in shock at the audience.
