About

Discover 5,000 years of Iranian art, design and culture at the V&A’s blockbuster exhibition Epic Iran.

Goggle more than 300 objects from ancient, Islamic and contemporary Iran, ranging from sculpture, ceramics and carpets to textiles, photography and film.

The exhibition has been divided into 10 sections set within an immersive design that transports visitors to a city, complete with a gatehouse, gardens, palace and library.

Stand-out exhibits include 10-metre-long paintings of Isfahan tilework; Shirin Aliabadi’s striking photo of a young woman blowing bubblegum; and illuminated manuscriptions of the Shahnameh.

Hyped as the UK's first major exhibition on Iranian art and culture in more than 90 years, Epic Iran promises to unearth Iran's artistic achievements that remain unknown to many.
