About
Be prepared for a laughter-induced belly ache at the Apollo Theatre, as one-man theatre show This is Going to Hurt relays the experiences of a former NHS worker.
This award-winning show recounts doctor-turned-comedian Adam Kay’s hysterical healthcare stories – which were originally gathered as diary entries – as they’re now brought to life on stage by Kay himself.
Based on his book of the same title, the smashing stand-up is described to be “as hilarious as it is heartbreaking”. So have those tissues handy!
One of the first theatre shows to open in London’s West End after the coronavirus lockdown, with social distancing measures in place, the play honours NHS staff with an exclusive NHS-only night. If you’re an NHS worker, enter the ballot for a chance to win free tickets for the first performance on 22 October.
