Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra at St John's Smith Square

About

Savitri Grier violin James Blair conductor Suppe Light Cavalry Overture Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor Op. 26 Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique The YMSO's final concert of the season will open with the bubbly Light Cavalry Overture by Suppe. We welcome the prize winning violinist, Savitri Grier, who will play the Bruch Violin Concerto. We finish with the surreal Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz. Now in its 47th year, The Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1971 as a training organisation to bridge the gap between college life and the profession for orchestral musicians aged 18-25. YMSO's mission is to equip musicians with the tools required by their future employers, providing a platform for them to maintain and develop their skills. Our players come from all over the UK.
