About the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series
The HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series consists of 10 tournaments held around the world, in which national sevens teams compete for series points at each round. The series started in Dubai in December and has since stopped off in Cape Town, Sydney, Hamilton, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Hong Kong and Singapore before landing in London.
The final round is in Paris in June, where the overall champion will be decided based on points accumulated throughout the series. Last season saw South Africa crowned champions, finally winning the trophy having come second in each of the previous four seasons.
